Jack is a forearm-crutch user and would like to be able to rest his legs when standing in one spot for a long time. Jack wants to be able to sit down while on the go, and crutches are his preferred mobility aid.
This project reflects work we were involved in previously; however, the design no longer aligns with our current focus due to the nature of the solution or the challenge. We are now more mindful of the safety and suitability of DIY design solutions. We share this in the spirit of acknowledging the valuable contributions of our volunteers and supporting open collaboration.
Jack’s team created a collapsible seat for him between his crutches by adding an attachment made from fabric canvas. The seat is part of his crutches and can be folded down by Jack.
