Liquid level measure

Name: Alison

Event: TOM: Melbourne Makeathon 2017

Alison has a vision impairment due to Familial Exudative Vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) with manifestations and has no functional vision. Alison lives at home with her guide dog, Logan, her husband, David and her daughter, Sacha. Alison enjoys cooking a range of meals for her family. Alison enjoys cooking and often comes across recipes which require an accurate measurement of liquid in a pot, in addition, to change in liquid levels (increase or decrease). Alison currently uses a wooden spoon to dip into the liquid and feel where the level is to measure change and to ensure the pot doesn't boil dry. Alison would like to be able to accurately measure the liquid level in a pot and obtain feedback of the percentage level change.

The Level-O-Matic is an accurate liquid level measure that can be placed onto the side of a pot. The device provides audio feedback via simple tactile controls to tell the user the current level and the percentage change in liquid level.
