This month we're thrilled that we were able to connect past Need-Knower, Amy Marks and current TOM Need-Knower Ambassador & Disability Resource Centre for Advocacy (DRC) Chairperson, Mary Henley-Collopy.
Amy participated in TOM events during 2016-2018 and Mary from 2019. The pair had never met. So when Mary asked us if we knew anyone that would be interested in being part of the DRC Board, we knew Amy was an excellent recommendation for the job!
Amy is now the newest and youngest DRC board member and will be working alongside Mary to create inclusive communities and inform systemic change. They will be presenting the needs and views of people with disability to government, service providers and the broader community, as well as providing individual advocacy to adults with disability.
